【3DTotal网站2005年11月08日消息】Pixar Animation Studio于今日宣布发售其下一代3D渲染插件RenderMan v1.0的Maya版本。现在所有Maya的用户都可以利用RenderMan强大及优秀的功能创造出更加完美的作品。
由于RenderMan的优秀表现，像《海底总动员》和《超人总动员》的制作中都采用了它。现在也有许多制作公司利用其完成视觉特效方面的制作。由于它可以与Maya无缝的进行整合，所以使用起来会感到非常的舒服。
安装包里面包括对maya6.5,maya6的renderman支持.

Thank you for your purchase. RenderMan for Maya brings the speed, power and
stability of Pixar's RenderMan Pro Server to Maya users.
There are separate versions of the RfM plug-in for each version of Maya.
Please select the one that matches your installed version of Maya:
Maya 6.0, Maya 6.5, or Maya 7.0.
If you are running multiple versions of Maya, you may install multiple versions of the RfM plug-in.
Furthermore, for each version of Maya, there is a choice between optimization levels.
There is one version of the plug-in optimized for Intel Pentium 3 and AMD Athlon CPUs
(these are denoted by "i386.msi"); and there is an alternative version optimized for
Intel Pentium 4 / Xeon, and AMD Opteron CPUs (these are denoted by "i686.msi").
The "i386" versions will run on all platforms, whereas the "i686" versions will only run on

directly to Pixar and download a license for your product.

After that time, you can run LicenseApp.exe to get a permanent license.
